It is the morning of your first race, a ten-kilometer run. Three months of training, an app that has counted every stride. On the start line, you catch yourself: you are not happy to be running, you are tense. Tense about your time, about your place in the ranking, about how you measure up against the runners around you. One voice tells you to chase your best time whatever it costs; another, that you used to run for the pleasure of being outdoors and feeling your body. The start is near. What do you make of this race?
