Philoscopia's open encyclopedic layer (axes, profiles, glossary, works, foundations, influences, tensions, thought experiments, arguments) is published as open source in the philoscopia-referential repository, under the Creative Commons BY-SA licence for content and the MIT licence for code. Its reuse is governed by those licences.

All other elements (the Philoscopia brand name, the logo, the design of the site and app, the private experiential layer — journeys, practices, questions, scenarios — and the AI companion “Philos”) remain the exclusive property of the publisher and are protected by French and international intellectual-property law.

Any reproduction, representation, adaptation or exploitation, in whole or in part, of the non-open elements, by any means, is prohibited without the publisher's prior written authorisation, save for strictly personal and private use permitted by law and for duly referenced short quotations.

1.1 Philosophical quotations and works

The excerpts of works quoted on the site are in the public domain or used as short quotations for educational purposes. Each quotation names its author and source work.

1.2 Content produced with AI assistance

Part of the encyclopedic corpus is produced with the assistance of artificial-intelligence models, then editorially reviewed and validated. Exchanges with the AI companion, by contrast, are generated in real time: they may contain errors, approximations or debatable positions, and do not bind the publisher.

2. Liability

Philoscopia's content is offered for philosophical discovery and reflection. It is neither expert advice nor a reference academic curriculum, and it does not replace reading the works themselves. The publisher strives to keep the information accurate but cannot guarantee it, and declines all liability for the use made of it or the interpretations drawn from it.

The site may contain links to third-party sites. The publisher has no control over their content and cannot be held responsible for their content, privacy policies or practices.

4. Personal data and cookies
