Conceptualism

Axis: UniversalsDo general properties exist, or are they merely names?

Genera and species exist neither as realities in themselves nor as mere words. They are concepts the mind forms by noticing resemblances among things. The universal is real, but in thought: neither in a heaven of Ideas nor reduced to a breath of the voice.

This position is still lightly documented.
